&quot;Contested Streets&quot; (http://www.contestedstreets.com), at the historic Texas Theatre (http://www.texas-theatre.org) in Oak Cliff on Thursday, September 18th. The film explores the rich diversity of American street life before the introduction of automobiles and shows how US cities can follow the example of other modern international cities that have reclaimed their streets as vibrant public spaces.

Facilitate a pedestrian friendly work, live, and play environment
Support area businesses by creating park-and-ride options for merchants who are unable to acquire Certificate of Occupancies due to restrictive parking issues
Assist in reducing the areas auto emissions
Link Downtown Dallas with Oak Cliff&amp;#39;s burgeoning arts districts and the future Oak Cliff Gateway
