
After completing her graduate degree in Regional and City Planning at the University of Oklahoma in 2004, Lauren began her professional career as the City Planner for The City of The Colony. During her tenure with The Colony, she oversaw all development in the City, managed amendments of the City’s comprehensive plan, zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations, and administered the city’s federal grant programs. Lauren joined INCAP Fund in October of 2006 where she serves as Director of Planning. Since joining INCAP, Lauren has been the principal behind such major projects at the implementation and installation of the Davis Garden Tax Increment Finance District and several other notable land use issues. Ms. Odell is active in the community serving as the Vice President of Membership for The Greater Dallas Planning Council, a member of the Board of Directors of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, a member of the City of Dallas Urban Design Advisory Committee and Trinity River Ad Hoc Committee, the Davis Land Use Study Steering Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Oak Cliff Transit Authority as well has numerous other boards. A 2002 graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, Lauren has developed a diverse knowledge of land use and entitlement issues as well as economic development incentives.
